ABOUT
In our adult literacy programs, volunteers provide no cost one-on-one tutoring and small class instruction to students. Free educational materials are provided. Survival skills English, pre-literacy language development, and beginning reading are offered.
Childcare and transportation are available to participants in the English as a Second Language (ESL) classes located at the Burke Literacy Council, 200 North King Street, Morganton NC.
As students gain confidence and skills, they can then continue on to the more advanced ESL classes offered by Western Piedmont Community College.
